TRIAD Kindergarten Readiness Workshop-West, TN

Location: Friendship, TN

Vanderbilt’s Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders (TRIAD) will provide a two-day hands-on workshop designed specifically for LEA faculty and staff in Tennessee who directly serve students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The purpose of this workshop is to provide educators with knowledge and strategies to help all their students be kindergarten ready.

Participant Requirements

  1. Participants must directly serve preschool age children. Workshop is open to related preschool professionals such as administrators and district level consultants but first preference will be given to preschool educators
  2. Participants are expected to attend both training days

Training Topics

  • Defining Kindergarten Readiness
  • Identifying strategies to help preschool students prepare for Kindergarten
  • Connecting Social Emotional skills to Kindergarten Readiness
  • Implementing Social Emotional Learning opportunities in the preschool classroom

Workshop Format

  • Large group instruction, modeling, and discussion
  • Small group application and role play activities
  • Planning and coaching with TRIAD Educational Consultants

Proof of Attendance

Participants will receive certificates documenting their participation in this training and 12 hours of professional development*

*Participants must attend both days of the workshop in order to receive a certificate of completion documenting 12 hours of professional development.

This workshop opportunity is sponsored by the Tennessee Department of Education and is available to educators in LEAs in Tennessee at no-cost to participants.
