Disability Mentoring Day @ Vanderbilt 2014 has been scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 14, at the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center. Job mentors are seeking energetic and enthusiastic students or job seekers with a disability to participate in the annual event.
DMD enables job seekers to spend part of a day visiting a business, a non-profit agency, or government agency that matches their interests and have one-on-one time with volunteer Workplace Mentors. It is an opportunity to underscore the connection between school and work, evaluate personal goals, target career skills for improvement, explore possible career paths and develop lasting mentor relationships.
A mentee application is available for submittal on the VKC Events Calendar page. All applications must be received by Sept 24.
