TRIAD Social Communication Support Network Online PLC Webinar 3 - Augmentative and Alternative Communication

Vanderbilt’s Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders (TRIAD) will provide educators with a platform to learn and share skills, knowledge, and strategies related to teaching communication skills to students with ASD while providing opportunities to collaborate with professionals across the state throughout the year. Please register if you plan to attend so that you will receive the link to access the webinar. Come to one or come to them all!

Participant Requirements

  • Directly serve K-12 students with ASD in the area of communication skills
  • Participate in professional learning community by sharing skills, knowledge, and strategies before, during, and after each webinar
  • Suggested Participants: School-based speech and language pathologists and other professionals who provide direct and consultative services in the area of communication.

  • Webinar 3 - Augmented and Alternative Communication

Webinar Format

  • Large group instruction and discussion
  • Case study application activities
  • Individual reflection activities relating to topic

Proof of Attendance

  • Participants will receive certificates documenting their participation in 1 hour of professional development (per webinar attended).
  • ASHA continuing education units will be available.
