TRIAD Train the Trainer: A Capacity Building Workshop

This workshop is for educators, consultants, and administrators who provide or plan to provide professional development within their schools and school systems. The purpose of this Train the Trainer workshop is to build capacity and sustainability across the state, equipping participants with resources and activities to be able to lead professional development activities. Vanderbilt's Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders will provide this two-day hands-on worship designed specifically for LEA faculty and staff in Tennessee.

Target Audience

  • Educators, consultants, and administrators who provide or plan to provide professional development sessions within their schools and school systems.


  • Prior to attending the workshop, participants must view and complete the eight brief online training modules with an 80% score on each knowledge questionnaire to reflect mastery of content. Upon completion, participants are eligible to attend the workshop.

Training Topics

  • Quality workshop facilitation guidelines
  • Instruction for utilizing prepared TRIAD modules for dissemination

This training will not include discussion or application of specific strategies used to teach students with autism. For training opportunities pertaining to those topics, please visit our webpage

Workshop Format

Train the Trainer Activites including:

  • Power Point presentation
  • Live Modeling
  • Supported large and small group planning activities
  • Individual planning time
  • Interactive Materials
  • Ongoing Coaching

Proof of Attendance

Participants will receive certificates documenting their participation in TTT and 12-14 hours of professional development.

Participants will have the opportunity to become a Certified TRIAD Module Facilitator.

TASL Credit

14 hours of TASL credit is available.

This workshop opportunity is sponsored by the Tennessee Department of Education and is available to educators in LEAs in Tennessee at no-cost to participants.
