Workshop: How to Be a Better Advocate for Your Child with a Disability

This FREE event will help you become a better advocate for a child with an intellectual or developmental disability (IDD). Experts in the field of IDD will speak about a variety of topics, includinag autism, intellectual disability, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), cerebral palsy, and learning disabilities. Each topic will be followed by a question-and-answer session. You will also learn about local resources and organizations dedicated to helping those with IDD.

Please arrive between 8:30 and 8:45 for sign-in. Breakfast and lunch will be served.

Free parking available in the South Garage, at the corner of Children’s Way and 24 Ave. South. Enter the Children’s Hospital from the Sky Bridge on the second floor of the South Garage.

Leading the course will be Tyler Reimschisel, M.D., MHPE, Director, Vanderbilt Consortium LEND, and Director, Division of Developmental Medicine and the Center for Child Development.
